In a chilling incident on National Highway-28 (NH 28) near Basti, Uttar Pradesh, a Mahindra Bolero car belonging to DSP Tamkuhiraj Jitendra Singh Kalra was hit by a truck from behind in the Parsa Hazzam village, Munderva Police Station area. The impact left the Bolero lodged in the tanker, which proceeded to drag the car for over two kilometers. The incident, which took place on Sunday evening, resulted in serious injuries to the driver, Gulam Afsar, and the gunner, Divyaman Yadav, while DSP Jitendra Singh Kalra suffered minor injuries.

The tanker was halted after police erected barricades on the highway. Despite the horrific nature of the accident, fortunately, no casualties were reported. The injured were promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. A video capturing the damaged Bolero car has circulated on social media, highlighting the severity of the collision.
